peter hosking v2 250x325

Peter Hosking

Director of GHO

Like Grant, Peter has been central to the existence and ongoing success of Avner’s Foundation and its precursor, Avner’s Fund. Avner initially hired Peter’s marketing agency GHO because of Peter’s marketing expertise and from that start, a friendship developed. Peter’s commitment to the Foundation and the pursuit of the Foundation goals are without question, inspirational. He plays an invaluable role in the day-to-day decisions, as well as the design and pursuit of our longer-term goals.

Grant O'Brien

Former CEO of Woolworths Limited

Grant was Avner’s best man, friend, confidante and colleague. He supported Avner and Caroline throughout Avner’s diagnosis and treatment and helped make the worst of times more bearable and the best of times more enjoyable. Grant has been central to the launch and ongoing success of Avner’s Foundation.

Warwick White

President, International of Keurig Green Mountain

Warwick lost a close friend and mentor to Pancreatic Cancer in the months after Avner died. It has driven his passion to improve outcomes for those affected by Pancreatic Cancer. Warwick has already delivered on that passion with increased awareness and funding raised for this most lethal cancer.

We are delighted to have Warwick join the board from February 2012.

Caroline Kelly

Executive Director and Co-Founder

When Avner and Caroline considered setting up Avner’s Fund, it was in recognition that something needed to be done. Unlike cancers of other parts of the body, there was no Australian Foundation dedicated exclusively to Pancreatic Cancer. With the help of friends and supporters, Avner’s Fund became a reality and had a simple aim, to raise funds for research so that there could be hope for future patients. Since the establishment of the Foundation in July 2010, that simple aim has been expanded to include support services and awareness. Caroline is the first full time employee.
